Data -> Data Tools ->Text to Columns

One Last Formula ;-)

Concatenate is one of the way cool text functions. It combines text and "strings 'em together." There is a another function that takes a string of text and converts it to columns. This is an excellent tool for splitting the text strings you get from Internet forms.

 

Try It: Convert Text to Columns

This demonstration shows the first and last names are both typed into one cell. The names are separated by a space.

 

Select column B

Go to Data->Data Tools.

Select Text to Columns.

 

You can use the sample spreadsheet or enter your own data if you wish.
