Excel: Sounds Good
Step 1:
Data Type When you
convert text to columns, Excel will bring up a wizard to guide you
through the steps.
Original data type How is
your information separated? If there are commas, tabs, or symbols in
between, then it called Delimited. If the data is in a table,
with columns, then it called Fixed Width.
What Do You See?
Microsoft Excel suggested that the names in this
sample are Delimited.
The Data preview shows the names in the column you
selected for this conversion.
