Advanced Settings The Advanced settings lets you define how to wake up your computer. Some computers will respond, and wake up, when you press the power button on the keyboard. Other PCs have a sleep button on the front of the case.   You can set up your laptop to Hibernate after so many minutes to save on battery power. You might need to edit this setting for your machine.   When your computer powers up, do you want to be prompted for a password? In a secure or locked down office, such as a school or government facility, passwords are required.Now you know how to put your PC to sleep and how to wake it up.   Feels good to take control, doesn’t it?
