TechTalk: The Blue Screen of Death Page 1 2 3 4 5

What Happened?

The Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) is hardware, hardware, hardware. Either the hardware failed or the wrong software driver is installed. A Blue Screen is NOT user error—typing the wrong thing in an email message or what have you.

The Windows NT family-NT, 2000, XP and Vista- are stable desktop operating systems, but Windows pays for that stability with strict hardware standards. NT will not tolerate bad hardware. Why should you? Your business depends on that computer, doesn’t it?

Sometimes the magic works. Computers! Yea, we love them, don’t we?...OK, maybe we don’t.
