When you format text for the screen, keep in mind that people may be reading it from the back of the room. Fancy typefaces and small text may make it more difficult to read your slide.

Try This: Format the Font

Highlight the Text.

Go to Format ->Font.

Select: Arial.

What Do You See? Arial, Helvetica, Tahoma, and the new Microsoft Office 2007 font Calibri, are all san serif. The fonts do not have any curly-cues (serifs) and they are easy to read.

Memo to self: When the Computer Mama created slide shows for corporate presentations, the rule of thumb was that text should never be smaller than 18 pt. It is a good idea to preview your slide show in a darkened room and read the materials from 10 feet away.

This Font is fun, but it is very difficult to read.
