Save Options 1. Where Are You Saving It? By default, Microsoft Office opens the Document folder on your hard drive as a place to save it. That means the file will be saved locally.   2. What Are You Naming It? Type the Name: Reach For The Stars.   What Do You See? The new file type in Microsoft PowerPoint is the pptx format. The pptx format looks like a PowerPoint presentation but it is in the new international Open Office standard.   3. What Are You Doing? Click on Save.     When you click on Save, your slide show will be named, date stamped, and stored in the Documents folder. Office ->Save
