Check Compatibility The new file format in Office 2007 offers several features that are not available in earlier versions of PowerPoint. Older software just doesn't have the code to read it right. You need to check your presentation to make sure that it is compatible with PowerPoint 2003.   Try it: Run Compatibility Checker Go to Office -> Prepare. Select: Run Compatibility Checker.   What Do You See? In this example, the Compatibility Checker did not find any issues with this simple slide show.
