The Shape Styles and Shape Effects can be combined to make a "jelly," a shape the looks shiny. It's a term that refers to creating an image that is "sticky," and appealing like candy.

 

Try it: Format the Shape

Select the rectangle.

Go to Format.

Choose a Shape Style from the gallery

 

Try it: Apply a Shape Effect

Select the rectangle.

Go to Format.

Go to Shape Effects.

Choose an outer glow.
