Disable a User Account

Say an employee left your company.  You may not want to delete the account until all of the files have been transferred to the new employee. The Administrator can Disable a local user account.

 

Try This: Disable an account

Go to the Computer Management Console. Go to the Local Users and Groups. When you select the Users folder, you should see the profiles. Double click on a sample user profile.

 

What Do You See? You can edit the Profile. There is a check mark to disable the account.
