Table Relationships

A Normalized database also needs to consider the relations between the tables. Microsoft Access has a visual tool for defining the relational connections, or joins.

1. Define Relationship

You can define the relationships by going to Database Tools -> Relationships.

Show Table: You will be prompted to select the tables you wish to join.

This example will illustrate the logical relations you'll need when you create a receipt: who bought what?

Who: tblCustomer

Bought: tblMovieRented

What: btlMovieTitles
