Cascade Update

Sometimes you need to update the One side of the relationship. When you select Cascade Update Related Fields, this means that changes made to CustomerID, the Primary Key, will be updated in all of the rows that refer to that data.

 

Cascade Delete

Sometimes you need to delete a row and all of the related records. When you choose Cascade Delete Related Records, you are affecting the "Many" side of the relationship. If you delete the CustomerID, all of the records that relate to that CustomerID will be deleted, too.
