Many financial systems export the data as
spreadsheets which you can import into Access. Sometimes, the data
is exported as a text file.
The Wizard that imports Text files is
similar to the one used to import spreadsheets from Microsoft Excel.
Data is stored in tables: rows and columns.
When the data is converted into text, the columns can be separated
by different symbols.
A CSV, Comma Separated Value, file is a text
file that uses commas to show where the columns are. Other systems
use tabs or spaces for the columns.
More: Microsoft Access can import data from
other database and spreadsheet programs, too. O look, another way to
connect with Microsoft Outlook.
