Make a Building Block

What Do You See? The Building Blocks are part of an extensive table, or database. There are six properties you can edit to identify and organize your Building Blocks. By default, a new Building Block will be added to the Quick Parts Gallery.

 

Try This: Edit the Building Block

Name: Charlotte's Logo.

Gallery: Quick Parts.

Category: General.

 

Accept the defaults for the following:

Save in: Building Blocks.dotx.

Options: Insert content only.

 

Memo to Self: Look in the Gallery and you will see a long list of document objects  The Complete Computer Guides will show how to add and modify several Building Blocks in subsequent lessons.

 

 

 
Insert ->Quick Parts -> Save Selection to Quick Part Gallery
