The Quick Parts Side Bar

A Side Bar is a column of additional information on the left or right of a document. One example of a side bar would be a formal letter that lists the executives and director's names. 

 

Try This, Too: Add a Side Bar

Go to Insert ->Quick Parts.

Select Building Block Organizer.

Sort the Building Blocks by Category.

Find the Pinstripe Sidebar.

Click on Insert.

 

Add the following sample text:

Fresh Fruits
Apples
Avocados
Kiwis
Pears

Fresh Vegetables
Chives
Tomatoes

 

Save your changes.
