New Document A Template can be a document, spreadsheet or presentation that includes formatting, layout and design. A template gives you a place to start, instead of beginning with a blank page. Microsoft Office offers many, many templates that you can use.   Try This: Open A New Document Go to Office->New.     What Do You See? Microsoft Word displays a Blank Page.
