Text Blocks

Microsoft Word 2007 has Building Blocks that help you compose a professional letter. These steps show how to Insert the Date and Time.

Before You Begin

Place your cursor after the zip code and press Enter a couple of times to create a few blank lines. You may need to go to the Home Ribbon and format the text to be 11 pt Tahoma, aligned left.

9. Insert the Date and Time

Go to Insert ->Date & Time.

Select a Medium date format.

A Medium date format spells out the month, day and year. (MM/DD/YYYY).

Some countries write the date as day, month, year. (DD/M/YY). Using the Medium format could minimize the confusion with the Short date format that uses only numbers.
