Adjust the Color Depth

You can adjust the Color Depth of your screen display. In general, higher depth means better color and contrast: brighter whites and deeper blacks.

Try it: Go to Start ->Control Panel
Find Appearance and Personalization.
Click on Adjust Screen Resolution.

Select: Colors.

Review: Is your computer set at the Highest color (32 bit)?

Memo to Self: Color Depth is determined by the capabilities of your video card. The video hardware determines the range of Low, Medium and Highest as well as the number of bits that can be processed.
