Control Screen Flicker

Sometimes the default settings won't work in your office. The overhead lights can make the screen flicker and difficult to use. You can adjust the Refresh Rate in the Display Settings.

Try it: Go to Start ->Control Panel
Find Appearance and Personalization.
Click on Adjust Screen Resolution.

You should see the Display Settings.

Go to the Advanced Settings.

What Do You See? There should be a Monitor tab. The Refresh Rate might be anywhere from 60 Hertz to higher, say 75 Hertz. You can try a different setting and see if that controls the screen flicker.

What Else Do You See? There is an option to Hide the modes that will not work with your monitor.
