Restore Previous Version

Sometimes your work gets trashed. The file may become corrupt or infected. Perhaps it was changed too many times by too many people and no longer even resembles the original document you started with.

Windows Vista creates a Shadow copy of your work as part of the System Restore Point. You can choose to open a Previous version of your document.

Try This: Restore a Previous Version
Go to Start-> Document.

Select a file.
Go to Organize -> Properties.

Go to Previous Versions.

What Do You See? If this file is part of the System Restore Point, you should see Shadow copies for each backup.

The Easy Way: Right click a file and go to Restore previous versions.

Organize ->Properties -> Previous Versions
