Add a Program to the Start

Try It: Add a Program

The last step of the process is to drag the shortcut into the Startup folder. According to Microsoft, this should be easy, however the Computer Mama couldn't get the Start menu to stay up when she reached for the shortcut.

An alternative method is to right click the Startup folder and click Explorer. When the Explorer window opens it is easy to move or paste the shortcuts into the Startup folder.

What Do You See? The programs that are listed in the Startup folder will open every time you turn on the computer.

Try This, Too: You can also drag a shortcut of your folders to the Start menu. Very efficient.

Start ->Startup Folder
