This is your desktop. You have the Computer Mama's royal permission to put the shortcuts wherever it makes sense to you. Just drag and drop them like a picture in Microsoft Word.

 

Try This, Too: Move the Taskbar

Think outside the box. Say you wanted to move the Taskbar to the right side of the screen. The Taskbar is just another window: you can drag and drop it to either side of the screen. You can even move it to the top if you wish.
