The CountA Function

The Count Function counts numbers.

The CountA Function counts the number of cells, or variables, that are in a range. CountA can count any type of information such as names (text), values, even cells with error messages in them. Neither Count function adds up empty (Null) cells.

 

Try It: Use the CountA Function

Select Cell D8.

Go to Formulas -> More Functions.

Go to Statistical.

Click on COUNTA.
