Save As Microsoft Excel 2007 is a new file format: XML. XML means Extended Markup Language. It is the new open source code for the Internet.   Since 1983, Microsoft Excel had a specific file format: xls. The new 2007 spreadsheets are NOT the same as the previous versions.   People who do not have Excel 2007 will not be able to open and review your 2007 spreadsheet.   Try This:  Office ->Save As.
