Lock the Workstation

You should lock your computer whenever you leave your desk or walk away from your laptop. It is one more layer of security and privacy.

Try This: Lock the Workstation

Type: Control + Alt + Delete.

 

What Do You See? You have several logon options including: Switch User, Log Off, Change a password and Task Manager. When you Lock this computer you are setting a password protected security screen.

 

Try This: Unlock the Workstation

Type Control + Alt + Delete again. Then type your user name and password.

 

Under Lock and Key?

Is the data in the Shared folder fully secure? Not really. What we’ve done is made our files reasonably safe and that’s a start.

It’s not as intimidating as it looks. I’ve been there…and I’ll be here for you. When it all gets too frustrating, repeat after me: I AM the administrator.
