Page Layout->Margins Custom Margins By default, the Margins are 1" on the Top, Bottom and both sides. When you select a different page size, the 1" margins may not adjust automatically .   3. Change the Margins Go to Page Layout -> Margins. Select: Narrow.   What Do You See? Look at the ruler on the top of your document. The ruler starts at the edge of the paper. The Margin is marked by blue and there is a cluster of controls at 0.5"   The ruler on the left side of your screen should show a 0.5" Margin, too.   Memo To Self: If you do NOT see any rulers, please go to View -> Ruler and select it with a check mark. ;-)
