Create a Task From an E-mail

My mentor used to say, "I don't want to hear another good idea...unless you are willing to do it with me!" Here is a quick way to make a Task from an E-mail message.

Try It: Create a Task from an E-mail

Go to the Inbox.

Select a sample message.

Drag the message to the bottom of the Navigation pane. Drop the message on the Task button, the one with the clipboard and the red check mark.

What Do You See? A new Task will open, populated with the information from the E-mail. If the E-mail has an attachment, you need to drag and drop the attachment separately.

Create an appointment from message: You can schedule an appointment from a message, too. Just drag the E-mail onto the Calendar. A new appointment will open with the same subject as the E-mail.
