Search the Inbox The Instant Search tool is an effective way to locate information in Microsoft Outlook. Instant Search starts with the Inbox, but you can choose to search All Outlook Items including the Calendar or Contacts.   Try This: Use Instant Search Begin with the Inbox. Go to Tools-> Instant Search.   What Do You See? Look on the right side of the Search Box for the down arrows. You can use the small arrows to Expand the Query Builder.
