Create a .pst file
Outlook can have more than one data file. In some
offices, Outlook uses the Exchange server as well as a local .pst
file for backup or archives. Here are the steps to Add
another data file.
Try This: Add a Data File
Go to
File -> Data Management.
Go to Data Files ->Add.
What Do You See?
Format: You will be prompted to choose either
the new Office 2007 format, or the Outlook 97-2003 that is
compatible with previous versions.
Location: You can choose the default drive and
folder for your .pst file.
Security: You will also be prompted to enter a
password if you wish.
If you have more than one Data File, you can indicate
which file is Default.
