Here
are the steps to unzip (extract) the sample database.
1. Download the sample
database to your Documents folder. It is a Zipped (compressed)
file.
The zipped file has a
yellow icon with a clamp.
2. Make a new folder
to keep all of the pieces to the Final Project in one place!
Name the new folder:
Final Project.
3. Unzip the database.
Right click the yellow Zipped file and choose to Extract, or Unzip,
the sample database. As you walk through the WinZip program, you
will be prompted to where you would like to save the extracted
files. Please browse to the new Final Project folder. The unzipped
database has an icon with a purple key.
4. Right click the
extracted database and see if the database is Read Only. Uncheck
Read Only if it is.
5. Start the database.
The MS Access database has a purple icon with a key. Double click
the icon and begin.
